We develop advanced predictive models, turning historical data and weather forecasts into accurate streamflow forecasts.

Using Machine Learning algorithms, we continuously process meteorological and hydrological variables to estimate short-term river inflows, allowing operators to optimise production, manage reservoirs and act with good timing on the energy market.

Our software applies advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning architectures to go beyond traditional physical models. The system learns the specific hydrological behaviour of each basin, continuously processing historical data, field measurements and weather models.

The result is extremely precise flow curves. This translates into a huge operational advantage, allowing operators to optimise turbine management, plan reservoirs and maximise returns on the energy market.

Our weather module applies continuous Bias-Correction techniques, cross-referencing weather forecasts in real time with physical measurements from ground stations.

To do this, several types of data are processed simultaneously:

  • Historical series of streamflow and weather variables
  • Updated regional-scale weather forecasts
  • Live data from rain gauges and ground stations
  • Reservoir levels and physically measured flows at nodes

Dashboard monitoring

The output of the AI forecasting chain takes shape in cutting-edge software, designed to operate 24 hours a day, which communicates with a dedicated database where all input and output data is stored.

For each basin, the system continuously checks for the availability of new weather forecasts and newly measured ground flows, processes them through Bias-Correction, runs the Machine Learning model and saves the results to a dedicated database.

To give operators maximum decision-making control, the software releases 8 updated forecasts per day (exactly one every 3 hours) for each point of interest.

All output data can be immediately explored through our interactive dashboard, or made available via web-accessible APIs.
