Data collected

By browsing the site and using the contact form, the following categories of data are collected:

• Data provided voluntarily — first name, last name, email address and the content of your message, when you fill in the “Contact us” form or write directly to info@aiaqua.tech.
• Browsing data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and access time, automatically collected by the hosting server for the technical operation of the site (system logs), not cross-referenced with the user’s identity.
• Language preference — the language chosen for browsing (Italian, English or German), saved via a technical cookie.

The site does not carry out user profiling and does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Purposes and legal basis

Data is processed for the following purposes, each with its own legal basis pursuant to Art. 6 of the GDPR:

• Responding to requests for information or a demo via the contact form — performance of pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject (Art. 6.1.b).
• Managing internship or collaboration requests received by email — consent of the data subject (Art. 6.1.a).
• Ensuring the security and proper technical functioning of the site (system logs) — legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6.1.f).
• Remembering the chosen browsing language — legitimate interest of the Data Controller, strictly necessary cookie (Art. 6.1.f).

Recipients and transfers

The data collected may be processed by authorised AIAQUA personnel, and by Bluehost (a brand of Newfold Digital, Inc.), the provider hosting the site, acting as data processor (Art. 28 GDPR).

Newfold Digital, Inc. is based at 5335 Gate Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32256 (USA): this means data is also processed outside the European Economic Area. The transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914 of 4 June 2021), the safeguard required by the GDPR (Chapter V) for this type of transfer.

Retention

Data collected through the contact form is retained for as long as necessary to handle the request, and for a maximum of 24 months from the last contact, unless otherwise required by law. System logs are retained for a maximum of 6 months, in line with the guidance of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante Privacy).

Your rights

As a data subject, you may at any time exercise the rights set out in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR by writing to info@aiaqua.tech: access to data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) if you believe the processing of your data breaches applicable law.

Minors and security

The site is not intended for minors under 16 and does not knowingly collect data relating to minors. AIAQUA adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data collected from unauthorised access, loss or destruction.
